Not unless you plan on upgrading to more memory. Most notebooks only have room for 2 chips, so if you think 4 GB is enough, then go with the cheaper 2 chip option. If you're planning on upgrading to 8 GB at some point, you might want to think about the 1 chip option (so you don't end up throwing out both chips to do the upgrade).
