But are you sure you uninstalled it completely?
Yes, the uninstaller removes Folders from Program Files, but leaves a lot of trash in System32 and registry (at least when I last try to use it - long time ago :-))
I have to remove all manually so I can install other AV application (on my home computer it was easier to format the disk and re-install all from scratch). After that I NEVER try to use Norton Anti Virus.
