If the assemblies not in the GAC is the only thing I suppose you could add them manually. I have found old assemblies in the GAC and removed them and then re-installed and had it work. Or you could just copy the assemblies into the GAC folder. There is a list of them in the Dev Guide under "Installing the Mere Mortals .NET Framework 2008"

No, the templates are not installed either. That was why I went looking for the assemblies. I unstalled and reinstalled but that did not resolve the problem. I wonder if it is because I don't have a WINNT folder but a Windows folder.
