>I see now. Thank you. The biggest misunderstanding on my part was that I thought you can't run VFP (or any other Windows application) without have something first installed in the registry. I realized that when you run the VFP9.EXE on the computer where VFP was never installed something is maybe automatically set in the registry (or maybe not). The only thing I noticed on my wife's computer after I ran VFP 9 was the folder \Visual FoxPro Project\ in her documents. So I guess VFP9 automatically created this folder.

When you run VFP for the first time (regardless if it was installed or not) it creates entries in the registry with all it settings from Tools, Options and some more. It can also create a couple of folders in the user profile folder.
