It's only a bug if it's not done on purpose. VFP and Excel do it that way on purpose, so it's not really a bug, it's just that according to standard math principals, it's wrong.

I know it seem counter-intuitive and initially, I agreed with your view, but so far, not one legitimate math source I've seen agrees; so afaic, I was wrong, and the texts etc are right.
