Yup. I've seen WAY too many relationships implode because one of the couple thought they could 'fix' or 'train' the other half, and it never works. Now people who go into relationships who can talk to each other about issues, internal or external, have a much better survival rate.

I've never understood the mentality of "I can fix him/her" and have learned to just walk away shaking my head when I run across it.

>I'm a firm believe that you can never change somebody by entering in a relationship. The person might act as changed, but will still hold some sort of resentment and contempt toward the other person. A person truly has to see the error of their ways before they can wholeheartedly change.
