Actually, that is not a true statement. In general, americans who want the best gas mileage they can get, a high resale value, and precision handling do lean towards cars manufactured elsewhere. However, I know many many people who are pure Chevy, Ford, or Dodge supporters when it comes to vehicles. People from all over the US that I have met. That is true especially with men. There are men who will only buy a Ford truck or a Chevy truck, etc. There are people who will only buy cars made in America too.

I think more people are buying cars made by Toyota, Nissan, and Honda than any other, but I don't know that for sure.
