Oho! I will defend VW with the zealotry of any German. My car is a VW Jetta which I have had for just over 5 years, nearing 60,000 miles. I have never put that many miles on any car. It isn't the performance monster the Corvettes I had in my heyday were but it has plenty of pep. Gets 30 miles a gallon like a metronome, and that's mostly local driving. Everything about it is solid and well thought out. Would I buy another one or recommend it? You betcha.
