I agree - its real cool, we use it on a world wide data warehousing operation (44 countries).

I was a pure snob when it came to DTS - and my initial reaction to SSIS wasn't much better. But some people told me I really needed to take a closer look at SSIS, and that I'd find myself more productive. Wow, were they right. They way they constructed many of the tasks (particularly the SSAS tasks) really works well. Not perfect, but quite well.

I read somewhere that SSIS has a very small team, but is well-respected for what they've produced.

Have you looked at SSIS 08? Some awesome performance increases....IMO, SSIS is the best product in the entire SQL stack.
