It's the challenges that keep this business interesting and I've never been accused of giving up easily but I am crying "Uncle!" on this one. I just ordered a copy of Word 2000 on eBay.

I have not had any problems with either CP or 2003 {s}. Let me make one more suggestion before you totally give up because your cleint may upgrade in spite of your recommendations. Create you own skeleton handler class by opening the Word 2007 type library in the object browser. The drag and drop the applicationEvents2 interface from the object browser to a new prg file. This way, you at least know that the interface is correct. Copy and paste your code from your existing handler into the new handler and see if that helps.
