In all of those accounts, no matter if there could be suspicious activities in regards to them or not, one should know that publically expressing such suspicious concerns could lead to some delicate situations. If one would have such suspicious points in regards to an account, please, do advise me in private, not in public. Because, in such a situation, if the individual is properly represented by the account information, when one member would express some thoughts in public, this could lead to a very bad impression of the site, from its members and to the general concept of providing network support in this IT world.

>>>Agreed, of course. Assuming this woman is who she said she was, which I have no reason to believe she is not, it may in fact have given her a bad first impression of the UT. (Well, second impression -- there were a number of welcoming replies before any doubt was expressed).

>>>When you say "the situation has been addressed," I hope that does not mean Dmitry has been sanctioned (other than in the messages members have addressed to him today). A couple of us said almost exactly the same thing, that it seemed out of character for him to speak out as he did. In my experience he has always been a useful and enjoyable member of this forum, which is why I said it seemed out of character. We all make mistakes. (Certainly me!!!) Anyway, just wanted to express my opinion about that, not even being sure what has or hasn't happened. He has gone pretty silent today and there could be different reasons for that.

To say the least. Here's Lynda's (and since no contradicting information seems to be forthcoming I assume that Lynda is actually Lynda) post on the "other" site:

I was at another Foxpro/NET site recently and got very inappropriate responses to a post I made. All I asked was regarding converting a large financial VFP application to .NET and what were the best resources to learn how to do that. That one post generated many responses, some were very useful, but some were very sexist. Before I get too deep here, can I expect that everyone will act professional? I hate to ask that right up front, but after the way the other site was, I really don't want to take the time to try and get immersed here and find out it's not worth it.

Ok, now that I've said that, is this a good place to get information on converting from VFP to NET? I'm thinking of using C#.

IMHO it would behoove us UT users to know what the (expletive deleted) happened here, and what, if anything, UT management determined about the rumors and innuendo.
