Even with the syntax-coloring I like to see capitals on my key words for readability I don't like TYPING them, so I run beautify after every major code change.

Hi Barbara,
Since I also still have applications running in FPW 2.6 and don't have the advantage of syntax coloring there, I still use uppercase for reserved words. I did make my life a bit easier in this regard by setting up some OKLs which adjust the case of whatever's in the clipboard and paste the results back into the editor.
Still this is a long way from even something like QuickBASIC which expanded abbreviations, raised keywords to upper case, automatically adjust variables so that they matched (if you used MyVar in one place and later typed in as Myvar all instances were changed to match), plus did real time syntax checking. Today, you'll find similar behavior in VB.
One of the disappointments I had in this regard with VFP 6.0 was that this functionality wasn't included in the editor. I imagine, however, that it will come to VFP eventually.
