I sympathize with the juggle you are having to do with your conversion. It's easy for me to say, since I'm not sitting in your chair, but given the trouble making the old browses work, it *might* be worth making this conversion. Although, if you have to allow editing in the grids, then it probably would be 6 of 1 and 1/2 dozen of the other < g >.

I wish I could help with suggestions for your stated goal, but I use very few modal forms and none mixed with browse windows...
