The last I had heard was that Clipper allows for 1024 fields and dBase 512. This was a later change for dBase and I think they had to alter the structure of the .dbf a bit to do this. Because of this deviation in the file structure I don't think dBase ODBC driver will read a Clipper table because of the different structures (which is the same scenario I fall into with VFP).
