>I'd take the snow over a tornado any day! We had a tornado last night touch down about a quarter mile from me and directly behind my daughter's grandmother's house. One lady where it first touched down (about 2 miles away) was picked up from inside her house (which was destroyed) and thrown across her yard. She is in the hospital, had surgery but no serious injuries. Scary stuff. Tonight we have thunderstorms again (warm in the 70s today) and a tornado about 20 minutes ago touched down about 10 miles away. Now under a tornado watch til midnight and we have another band of bad weather scheduled to go through around 2 am. Needless to say, I won't sleep much tonight.

Wow... we're off to an early start this year... and here we were hoping we'd catch a couple of hours tomorrow for gardening, like we did today. At least it still stands on sunny for Monday.

Looking at this map, you should be out of it in an hour or two, but we may need to watch it tomorrow. Now I'm grateful that our part of the street is practically without trees (save for our magnolia, but it has good roots and has survived so far) and power and communication lines are dug in. There are a few poles across the street, but for lights only - don't see the usual web of dangling cables everywhere. Good that we finished remodeling the patio - just a couple of weeks ago it was full of loose rotten wood from the old shed and fence.
