MS will support VFP 9 until 2015, so you still have at least 6 years of life for your applications. After that, if a new OS break VFP, you will be on your own to find a cure.

My advise would be to start looking for a rewrite of your applications in another tool while you still have time ahead of you if you plan that your applications will/must live for more than 6 years.
