Oh, OK. I was not saying TOSU is the worst program in the country. All the big time programs seem to tiptoe the line between legal and illegal recruiting, and have players who get in scrapes. (Wasn't there a basketball player from Chicago who got kicked off the Iowa team when Steve Alford was head coach, after more than one legal issue?) It's not surprising that a team that recruits heavily in south Florida has more than its share of thugs. And not all of them are. Greg Olson of the Bears played college ball at Miami and seems like a pretty good citizen.
>He always calls the Miami "The U", like it's anything more than a breeding ground for thugs.

>>I don't get the references to The U or Michael Irvin, sorry.

>>>What about "The U"? Michael Irvin needs a good smacking around, and then he needs to be thrown back in prison. At least OSU can say that they've had significant accomplishments in the last 5-10 years.

>>>>If there is some legal reason the official name needs the word "The" at the beginning, that's one thing. What I was talking about was ex-Buckeyes introducing themselves on football telecasts as alums of "THE Ohio State University", with the emphasis on the first word. It just sounds pompous. Especially considering OSU (sorry, TOSU) has probably the lightest academic reputation in the Big Ten.
