During the VFP 6 beta, I discovered the same problem. I talked with Susan Graham (MS) and she said that "people should upgrade their browsers to the current version" - that being IE4.0 Go figure - though it sounds a bit lame.

To me, I don't quite get it why the browser effects SCREEN=OFF...

In any case, I was not able to find a work around. Consequently, I ship my app with SCREEN=OFF

Please let me know if you find a solution.
