Just happened to see this . . . one way is not to use tooltips, but use BalloonNotes via the class at
http://www.ctl32.com.ar/I use it and love it. Incorporated it into all my control classes. They each have a BalloonNotes property and a BalloonNotes_Access property which is normally RETURN THIS.BALLOONNOTES, but could be changed to some code that accesses a table and returns a value . . .
