One suggestion is to take this to its least common denimoniator. Use the
Hyperterm program in Windows and see if you are indeed getting information
to and from the scale. If it does infact read from that program, that
will give you the setting we'll need to work with using MSCOMM32.OCX and
we can start to focus on that being the problem instead of a multitude of
different possbilities...
