I tried about a hundred things and none of them really worked. It seemed like a case of the OS insisting it was smarter than the user....

From XP, there are two things to watch for if you're setting that - Properties for the current window, and Defaults to set them for future windows of the same name. I presume it's similar in Vista.

I actually have a FPD 2.5 program running under XP, and it's held us back (thankfully!) from moving to Vista, because Vista flat WILL NOT print what the program tells it to.
