At least in the latest SP you can turn off the annoying permission messages, which was the biggest thing that p*ssed people off. After using Vista for a year or more now, XP seems a little outdated when I use it at work.

As the attention of FDP+Vista experienced people is focused, I will try to diversion this thread a bit, sorry.
I recently had tried to install a FPD 25 app on a Vista machine but I was not able to solve the Too Many Files Open problem. I had edited the config,nt (after all the formalities that I had to do) yet the problem never got away. I also went on to edit all config.nt that I could find as an Admin and yet no joy. Did the OP and others who have had experience with FPD on Vista know about anything I need to do further to avoid this problem.
Thanks and sorry once again for this slight diversion.
