For completeness I'll reply here, but see my reply to Fabio.

I'm not saying use different standards at all. The standard I use is to 99.999% of the time to not use m. and for the rare instances where there's a reason for using it there's a comment put in the code saying why it's there.

I'm saying that the only place you'll see measurable performance differences is in high execution count loops.. I try my best to avoid such situations in runtime interpreter based languages like VFP.
