Well, I guess I do, but most of my energy goes into hiding my contempt for Freud <bg> which can get very dangerous with someone who studied psych at Smith. I am personally very resistant to therapy, though god knows there have been times in my life when I could have used something.

First wife was the adrenaline junkie - the hang gliding pioneer, incredible skiier, living entirely in real-time, the most fearless person I've ever known - which was partly due to her being completely devoid of any ability for abstraction. We showed each other things we'd have never seen any other way.

We actually had some pretty good years. She taught me to fly.

And then we set each other free to return to our own tribes.

>The Cavs finally have a series, no? Dwight Howard is a monster. I saw a quote from Phil Jackson not long ago saying if he had to choose one player to start a team it wouldn't be LeBron, it wouldn't be Kobe, it would be Dwight Howard. He said you have to go with the big man.

Howard is fun to watch. (was it him broke the shot clock on a dunk last night?) I think this series is going to be great and if Mo and Delonte step up a little I still think the Cavs are moving on. I really want to see Lebron and Kobe go at it.

Have a great weekend with the girls. And be good to Mike.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
