>>Harsh but probably true.

>>I will be back at AA every day as soon as I get home. Twice a day, per your advice. (There is one guy in my group in Round Lake who has been sober 27 years, maybe 28 now, and goes to two meetings a day. He says he knows he would be right back drinking if he stopped going. Can't say why I never have gone here, which was one of the problems. Bible thumpers turn me off and I thought it would be more than I could take. But I didn't even give it a chance. My mistake.

>>Holy smokes, that was the loudest thundercrack I have ever heard in my life. And another one. Monster storm. I am going to take it as an emphatic warning from that guy I don't believe in. (Many AA-ers don't, at least when they come in).

>Emphasis mine. I hope you do, but proof is in the pudding as they say. You have put alcohol before everything and everyone in your life according to your words here. You don't have a spine, but it's your life and your decision. Just don't expect any more recommendations or comments from me here.

>As with all alcoholics, you lie. That is normal alcoholic behavior. I'm out of this discussion from now on.

Fair enough. I know you have been hurt by alcoholics in your life.

Yes, alcoholics do lie. I don't think I have known a single one, male or female, who doesn't. We do anything we can for the next drink. It's not pretty. Telling the truth is one of the things that happens when people get sober. We just get so damned tired of lying.

One of the best conversations I had with my sponsor was about lying. And my favorite topic, God. He said when you get desperate enough you will believe about anything. Maybe I am there.

I don't blame you for not wanting to talk to me any more.
