PPTP is a windows protocol. Just setup a new network connection as I described below.
1. Click on create new connection.
2. Click on Next.
3. Click on Connect to the network a my workplace and then click next.
4. Click on Virtual Private Network connection and then click next.
5. Give the connection a name and then click next.
6 Click on Do not dial the initial connection (I am assuming that you have a broad band connection to the internet)
7. Put in the host connection.
8 finish the connection.

From now on you should be able to click on the network connection, put in the user name and password and make a connection. If this does not work then you will need to get more info from your customer.

Just takes a couple of minutes.

>I don't know what you mean by trying "pptp". In the past when customers wanted me to connect using VPN they would give me a link to download/install VPN client. This company just sent me an email with the content of pretty much what I described in my initial message. If you could expand on what do you mean by trying "pptp", I would appreciate it. Thank you for your help.
