It's not SP2 related. When SET REPORTBEHAVIOR is set to 90, VFP uses new report engine. It's much more powerful and flexible but it comes with price:
- Printing is slower because VFP builds all report pages as images in the memory before preview/printing
- Report is rendered differently mainly because GDI+ is used instead of GDI. See Why do report layouts in VFP9 need wider field/expression controls than in VFP8 and earlier? for more info

> Also I got some weird pathing errors I didn't get in SP1, got errors when trying to rebuild indexes on a file, and just came away with a bad feeling about SP2 even in it's latest state. I'm thankful for your helpful advice though in guiding me through the steps to get the latest version. I'll stick with SP1 for now unless I end up needing a SP2 feature in the future - then I'll revisit the updates and see if they are more stable.

I doubt that above errors are SP2 related. Anyway, there's no reason to upgrade to SP2 if VFP9 SP1 works for you.
