The obvious choice would be to issue the SET DATE as needed. But you can't do that. Besides if it's not a bug why didn't M$ make it only a setup parameter for use in the CONFIG.FPW file and not an actual command?

I think Jim is right. It only affect compiled data constants in your program. Not variables, user entered data etc.
