I read your post as dBase III Plus, which is REALLY old. It was originally released in 1985. It's DOS only and has no web progamming ability. I have no knowledge of dBase Plus, but I would hesitat to go with a product from such a small company.

http://www.dbase.com/dbpersChart.asp it seems like there are some advantages to it over VFP - like building webapps for example. Can you explain how VFP is superior when it comes to data-handling and programmability? Looks to me like pretty much the same things as VFP???
