Hi David

Did not argue the point of having it this way, but weather it was implemented like this by design (of VFP engine) or
or it is simply bug. (Although, someone might wanna hide part of detail band by placing shape on top of it and end up discovering
that it just did not work {g} )

On Form objects DrawMode and FillStyle control the appearance of objects with respect to what you are trying to do. You might also try to bring your shape on top of the other form objects.
>If the above ideas don't work you can do your own "clipping" of the text fields where they intersect the rectangle (change the width of the text fields).

Nothing to do with building FRX or form, it is about interpreting FRX output.
This is happening all internally in a class environment, and drawing is done by gdi+x so it is most probably doable
at the cost of additional complexity.

Question was however directed more towards examining pros/cons and weather to pursue fixing it or not. If this is rpt engine bug,
it might be worthed fixing, if it is considered 'by design' then of course not.

Thank you anyway.
