What Victor said was true ten years ago - I've also heard some nasty stories about the attitude of the then VPM team towards too knowledgeable users. My boss then even submitted a fix for a nasty bug they had somewhere deep in the data engine (and which would occasionally cause an overwritten record - VFP5 days), and was pretty much told to shove it and get lost. I once refused a job, and among the top five reasons was that they used VPM (the top reason was money they offered, of course - it was good, but in a place where life is expensive, not so good a deal).

I guess it's quite different today, specially with Hank being frequent here, and much better so. How it worked meanwhile, I wouldn't know.
