You are grossly misinformed if you believe this.

The expiration of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts will represent the largest tax increase in the history of this country. Dividends, corporate tax, death tax and income taxes across the board are all set to revert to their pre 2001 levels. This does not include any new taxation whether already passed to pay for SCHIP, nor that which is being debated including surcharges for health care and energy and a VAT.

With the exception of the currently proposed health care surcharge of 5% all other increases directly affect the full spectrum of the citizenry, regardless of income. The health care surcharge will have an indirect effect though small business.
