Marco,

The developer's edition of SQL Server will run on Windows NT Workstation, but not on Windows 98. The other alternative would be to use SQL Server 7. There's a beta available now from the MS web site. It will run on Windows 98. The main disadvantage is that it's a different version so something that works in your environment may not work at the client site.

>Untill now i did all the work at my clients office. But because i do not need to be there very often anymore i want to be able to develop at my office. Does this mean i have to install SQL Server on a NT server at the office?
>Or is it possible to have some edition of SQL Server 6.5 installed on a Windows 98 machine? Or is the only way to be able to develop with SQL Server as the back-end on a stand-alone machine to have Windows NT installed on that machine.
