Does Austin do the red barbecue sauce (like up north) or the vinegar sauce like in North Carolina?

>y'see the thing about Austin is, anyone you ask is going to have a different idea of what good barbeque is - but here's mine.

>If you like Beef ribs, Ironworks (http://www.ironworksbbq.com/). They're on the very south side of downtown next to the convention center and worth the drive from anywhere in Austin. They also do great brisket and turkey.

>Rudy's (which is a chain based mostly in Texas (http://www.rudys.com/default.aspx) does a VERY nice prime rib (yes, smoked prime rib) and good pork loin along with 3 levels of 'moistness' on their brisket. They also do some absolutely EVEEL creamed corn

>>Ahhh cool - I'm going to be in Austin shortly - any suggestions for BBQ resturants? That's one thing south FL doesn't have and there was NO BBQ in Hawaii that was any good either...
>>
>>>Last time I checked, yeah - I'm still in Austin.
