I have come to the conclusion that it must be a network issue; here is why: I don't think that the foxpro environment or even the ws OS has the mechanism to be able to tell which field or even which record is being edited on another workstation. This lineup would have to come from the network.

BTW, the purge has been done recently. No help.

Fred's post rang a bell after I read it, and I remember someone reporting my same problem a little over a year ago, but I can't find the thread, and come to think of it, I don't remember the problem being resolved.

I run VFP 5 apps on two other sites using Novell as well, and have never had a problem.
