Presently we have 3 T1's , new server, voice recording software, etc (all the rest I am not that knowledgeable about) and we have been having some hicups with voice interuptions.

His comments indicated that there were many things done incorrectly and since he did not realize his firm did the installation etc., it has prompted our company to think the best approach is to have an independent evaluation so that we can resolve any issues we might have.

Did the consultant offer any recommendations to fix your problems? If they aren't too expensive or disruptive maybe you could try all or some of them. If that mitigates your immediate issues that could buy you some time to dot i's and cross t's later.

As for alternate firms, maybe Cisco could provide a list of qualified VARs or consultants in your area, maybe even troubleshooting specialists. You could check references provided by candidates to narrow them down.
