Compared to here the US healthcare, except for some advanced procedures, is living in the stone age.

It appears that there are as many different opinions about nationalized health care in the Netherlands as there are here. This was an e-mail we received yesterday from one of our Dutch friends about this blog piece that Andy Posted at http://weblogs.foxite.com/andykramek/archive/2009/08/11/8766.aspx

"I completely second that.

You could just as well have the Netherlands included in your list of “healthcare nightmare countries”.

Lists for healthcare are growing every year, insurance companies force hospitals and doctors to do the cheapest possible care (even in what medicines a patient should have) and this seems to never end.

So I completely understand your letter. I hope you get a clear answer."
