Beyond the basic usage of the Component Gallery, advanced usages that aren't obvious are demonstrated including the creation of new catalogs, folders, and items. Detailed examples of creating dynamic folders for hosting projects, databases, class libraries, and web pages in the detail pane are also shown. The Component Gallery is extremely extensible and data-driven, and this video also demonstrates the creating of custom catalog tables with complete description of the catalog table structure and field definitions. Also creating custom folder and item types by subclassing the classes in _gallery.vcx, allowing full customization of the Component Gallery shell. Additional advanced examples include controlling and automating the Component Gallery object using the _oBrowser object are also demonstrated.
