It depends... If you want specific settings, specific paper formats, etc. you need to save the environment. In one application I work on we make this configurable. The report is always copied into a temporary file and all printer information. Every user can specify their own settings for every report. We store these printer information and merge them into the report.

This looks like there's something wrong with the paper format in the printer driver. Maybe you can use a custom paper format that is slightly smaller than the regular one.
