The difficulty seems to be in navigating the path the is store in the ClassLoc field of the VCX. The algorithm for navigating those paths has been tweaked a few times.

Following is an example of where the form class and its parent reside:

Form - C:\ProjectRoot\Main\Library
Parent - C:\ProjectRoot\Framework

The ClassLoc in the child VCX contains a relative path to the parent (i.e. "..\..\framework\_form.vcx"). What's interesting is that the Cancel button on the form contains the same ClassLoc value and the Ctrl-Click shows the parent code for that control just fine, whereas the Save button does not.
