Then I take it you haven't read Janet Evanovich's series (1,2,3,etc all in the title) They are the best 'light comedy/detective stories' out there. Really humorous but basically detective stories. She is a bounty hunter. I like to read one light-weight story in between the heavier ones for a change of pace. :o) I haven't been reading at the same pace for the past couple of months. Probably a good thing because I've run out of titles from my favorite authors. I typically read 1-3 books a week, but I've been far too busy lately. Another good one is the Spellman Files series by Lisa Lutz. I think Alan brought those to my attention.

Sheesh, that's only some of them... I read a book by a romance author (Shana Abe) on the plane once and it was pretty good so I thought maybe I'd like to read those as well, but I tried a couple more of the same genre and decided that no, I didn't care for romance novels - I just enjoyed the book by that author.

I like to read some sci-fi books too, but not as often as mysteries.
