Yep, I've read the first 3 Stephanie Plum books; I've had the 4th on my Kindle for a month or two, but haven't gotten to it yet. I started reading them on your recommendation, and I like them.

You've got quite a long list of favorite authors there. I recognize a few of them that I read as well. I've never been into the romance novels either ... not my cup of tea. I used to read a lot of sci-fi when I was younger, but haven't read any of that genre in maybe 20 years.

>Then I take it you haven't read Janet Evanovich's series (1,2,3,etc all in the title) They are the best 'light comedy/detective stories' out there. Really humorous but basically detective stories. She is a bounty hunter. I like to read one light-weight story in between the heavier ones for a change of pace. :o) I haven't been reading at the same pace for the past couple of months. Probably a good thing because I've run out of titles from my favorite authors. I typically read 1-3 books a week, but I've been far too busy lately. Another good one is the Spellman Files series by Lisa Lutz. I think Alan brought those to my attention.

>Sheesh, that's only some of them... I read a book by a romance author (Shana Abe) on the plane once and it was pretty good so I thought maybe I'd like to read those as well, but I tried a couple more of the same genre and decided that no, I didn't care for romance novels - I just enjoyed the book by that author.
