>More from the "peer-reviewed but not yet published" file: a massive study examining longevity has concluded that a Mediterranean diet is an extremely reliable predictor. IOW lots of fresh fruit and veg, moderate red wine, less red and more white meat, and uncooked olive oil. Could be worth an extra decade of quality life to any of us.

Have to admit, I'm not much of a leafy-green, sorry (except for heavily steamed broccoli, I'll eat that) I hate wine, but we have chicken (baked, grilled, just not fried) 1-2 times a week, and I use olive oil when I cook (yes, I actually cook some Italian stuff).

I hate to break it to you (and I like it, too) but OJ is not very healthy. It's extremely high in sugar. Exactly the kind of intake that makes your blood sugar level spike, leading to an energy low and unhealthy cravings three hours or so later. You are about a hundred times better off eating an orange.
