Title:
Setup.exe wont work
Hi,
We distribute a FPW 2.6a application to 300 customers (on CDROM) and upgrade very regularly. We use the distribution kit and encountered a scary error.
When the customer installs the setup.exe starts up but after the blue screen appears it is stuck (before the target directory could be selected) and a message appears:
"DSHELL An error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway, click ignore and save your work in a new file. To quit this program, click close. You will lose information you entered since your last save."
Click on Ignore does nothing, click on close giveas the followinmg message:
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shutdown. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor."
Click on the button gives:
DSHELL caused a general protection fault in module MSCUISTF.DLL at
0004:00000532.
Registers: **and then a whole bunch of numbers**
It happened on 2 computers and they have Windows 95 on them and are Pentium 133 Mhz computers. So they are not "too fast".
We never encountered the problem but on those computers we could reproduce it with any other foxpro SETUP.EXE.
Anybody has a clue ?
