Again, it's not that I'm stubborn, it's that, other than the WOW factor, I still don't see what WPF allows me to do.

Right now I work for a manufacturing company with 5 sites and 1000 ppl. We run both web (intranet) and winform apps. Not one person here, including the executive staff, gives a hoot about how flashy the apps looks. We need the data and accurate results each and every time the apps & reports are run. There is zero margin for error. So unless WPF helps me reach these goals, where's the value?

Show me how WPF gets me better data processing results in a more timely fashion, and I'm all over it.
