It is because someone here on UT has offered to let me learn as I go and do some work for them using VB.NET in writing ASP.NET web pages. I will still learn C# on my own, but won't use it for this particular client. In addition, I am not concerned about money as I know I cannot be as productive as someone who has been doing ASP.NET with VB continually, so money won't be fast in coming, but I am glad for the opportunity to learn .NET. Now, I have always had an ill feeling when I've gotten near VB or even heard it spoken, but I'll hold my nose and learn anyway. (I am being a little facetious here.)
I didn't say anything about the opportunity because I didn't think it was my place to say anything since the client is on UT.

>Well, then, I'm curious why you said, less than an hour before this, that you were going to learn VB?
