You know, I'll bet it was the IE settings. The Internet Explorer 8 upgrade took care of it because I can now go anywhere on the Internet. I'd imagine that resetting the defaults would have done it as well, since in effect the IE Installation is a reset. I'm installing NOD32. Man, MCAFEE A/V is a dickens to remove.

Okay, at least this is finally resolved.
