How do you make up for the performance hitch with a client/server solution? We're currently developing a client/server and n-tier system for our commercial software (formerly all VFP) and it definitely doesn't perform as well - probably due to ODBC remote server throughput, etc.

Have you been able to 'tweek' your client/server systems to mimick the performance of a native VFP database?
