Hi Jeff ---

ADO recordsets are almost as fast, but you can't bind to grids and there are other drawbacks. Besides that, no, it's difficult to get equivalent speed but there is that security.

>How do you make up for the performance hitch with a client/server solution? We're currently developing a client/server and n-tier system for our commercial software (formerly all VFP) and it definitely doesn't perform as well - probably due to ODBC remote server throughput, etc.
