Did you buy it or it comes somehow? We bought my computer with Vista in November last year and my husband's laptop few months ago (with Vista as well). So, are we supposed to get the upgrade for free and where?
>I'm doing a Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade over my Windows Vista Home O/S installation right now on my HP Laptop. The announcement at the beginning said that it may take hours to do the installation; is it that much of an improvement over Vista Home.

>I received a notice that I should stop the upgrade, and update my device drivers for the Keyboard Filter first. I decided to ignore that warning and go forward with the installation anyway. I hope that's not too big of a deal.

>>So long as you don't take the option to re-partition/re-format your drive, all of your old folders stay intact...and your existing WINDOWS and PROGRAM FILES are moved to an OLD.001 folder structure. I have no clue why they say what they say (maybe to get people to do backups anyway?), but so long as the drive isn't re-formatted, data should stay intact. (as far as everything I've ever seen)
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
